Details
Introduction
Cafè d’Alger presents its self-titled debut (Sota la Palmera, 2024) and the Vull halal tour, singing in Catalan, French, Arabic and Amazigh. Yacine Belahcéne, alongside guitarist Marc Serrats, are the soul of the musical journey around Algerian popular music and the southern shore of the Mediterranean. Together they pursue a goal, to merge the roots that coexist both in our territory and in the soul of Algiers.
Cafè d’Alger is a project committed to the reality of our country, a plural and diverse society, where origins are less relevant than the present.
This debut album is no less an inevitable and coherent consequence of its concerns. We find six songs, robust with their ideology and their musical and vital inspiration.
Through these compositions, the group aims to reflect this diversity without complexes, emphasizing the present moment and current experiences.
